John Lyngstad, CFP®
VP/Senior Portfolio Manager
John built his career at Bell from the beginning, having joined the Bell Institutional Investment Management (BIIM) team in 2007 and risen steadily to his current role as a key member of the investment team.
As a senior portfolio manager, John specializes in portfolio model management and construction as well as research and analysis on various equity investments. His daily duties include trade execution for institutional and individual clients and BIIM’s portfolio model allocations. When executing trades, John’s focus is on equity securities, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
John serves as a member of the BIIM Investment Committee and Bell Fund Committee, the subcommittee responsible for external fund recommendations and review.
A native of Fargo, N.D., John holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University. In 2011, he earned the Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) designation. He is also involved in the Red River Valley Estate Planning Council.
In his free time, John enjoys working out, attending sporting events and spending time with his family.
